How do I refer a patient?
The Primary Mental Health Brief Intervention Service (BIS) referrals are available to be completed through the WellSouth Portal under 'Mental Health Brief Intervention - Referral'. The referral is sent electronically to a central BIS Administrator and allocated to the clinician that covers your Practice.
Who can refer?
Referrals will be accepted from any clinician within your General Practice.
How soon will a patient be seen?
We aim to contact patients within 1-2 weeks of receiving the referral.
