WellSouth's workforce training calendar has all our and other providers' training events.

We host, facilitate or link to training across a variety of topics including CPR, ACC GPMRI, ACP, Access & Choice, ARC, Health Pathways.

This eLearn platform has courses and webinars developed by WellSouth from internal and external providers, available for various members of the workforce. Many courses contribute to CME/PD points and are added to regularly.

Immunisation Training

Do you need to undertake Immunisation training or update it?

Please note: The 2 day vaccinator course has been discontinued, instead the Flexible Learning Vaccinator course will be the only option, this involves 12 hours of pre-learning and attendance at the 4 hour workshop.

Code of Health and Disability Training

Practices currently completing either their Foundation Standards under indicator 1 or Cornerstone standards are to ensure all team members have completed the Code of Health and Disability Services Consumers' Rights 1996 training once.

Independent advocates from the Nationwide Health and Disability Advocacy Service are available to provide free education sessions that relate to the Code of Rights, the role of the Advocacy Service in supporting or guiding resolution between the parties, and the Health and Disability Commissioner’s functions.

These sessions may be provided to consumer or provider groups of five or more people. The list of the programmes available is set out below, but sessions can be tailored to best suit the needs of your group as well as the time available.

HealthLearn is an online internet-based collection of educational content, information and resources for the healthcare community across the South Island. To use HealthLearn you will require a login - for General practice staff wishing to request a new HealthLearn account or for queries relating to existing HealthLearn accounts please email healthlearn@wellsouth.org.nz.
