Free flu vaccinations for Māori, Pasifika and former refugees 50+
In 2026, WellSouth is funding Māori, Pasifika and former refugees in Southland and Otago aged 50 years+ for the flu vaccine.
Persons aged 65 and over or people who have long-term medical conditions like diabetes, asthma, or a heart condition and/or long-term mental health conditions are already eligible for a free vaccination.
The flu vaccine is available April 1, 2026.
