Te Waipounamu Registered Nurse Prescribing in Community Health programme
The Te Waipounamu Registered Nurse Prescribing in Community Health (RNPCH) programme is the only one available in the South Island, and one of seven community nurse prescribing programmes nationwide accredited by the Nursing Council of New Zealand.

Eligibility and Prioritisation Criteria
We invite applications from Registered Nurses (RNs) currently employed in primary or community healthcare settings throughout the South Island. This includes those working in general practices, Hauora Māori and Pacific health providers, and other publicly funded community-based organisations.
The programme is limited to 12 participants per cohort. In alignment with our goal of strengthening the primary and community health workforce, applications will be prioritised according to the following criteria:
Priority groups include:

Māori and Pacific nurses

Nurses employed by Māori and Pacific health providers

Nurses working in rural or remote communities
