Fee Increase Exception Form

Under the 2026/27 Stable Fees Policy, practices must apply for an exception if they wish to increase Standard Consultation fees.

Maximum CSC Fees for Non-VLCA Practices from 1 July 2025

  • For CSC holders aged 14 to 17 years, the maximum fee is $13.50.

  • For CSC holders aged 18 years and older, the maximum fee is $20.00

Practices currently charging CSC fees below the maximum contracted rates are able to increase their fees up to the relevant cap (as outlined above) as part of the 2026/27 arrangements. These increases do not require an exception application to Health NZ.

These maximum fees apply only to CSC holders. Practices should ensure that fees for these patients do not exceed these amounts (all including GST).
